is proud to introduce to you our newest band member, Mr. Bret Emry!
Since before he can remember, Bret has been “doing” music. At church, he was introduced to four-part harmony Gospel style singing where he would settle comfortably in a bass to low tenor part. Growing up in a musical home, he enjoyed singing around the piano with his family, especially during the holiday season. He began learning to play the guitar at the age of thirteen when his mother, his biggest musical inspiration, taught him three basic chords. “Now you can play just about any song…in the key of G “.
Bret continued singing in high school and college chamber and symphonic choirs and traveling as far as Miami to perform for over 3,000 choir teachers under the direction of Maestro Bruce Rogers. After performing with several Christian rock and progressive rock bands playing bass guitar and even a jazz ensemble playing drums, Bret found his niche in Bluegrass.
We are impressed with his background and appreciate his ability as lead guitarist. His smooth, warm, lyric baritone voice blends well with ours. We respect his loyal committment to the band and have come to love him as a friend. We are happy to bring him to the stage with us and hope you’ll make him feel just as welcome.
